If you are looking for a way to make a difference in the lives of other people living with a stoma, join the QLD Stoma Association as a volunteer! Volunteering is a great way to get to other like minded people while making an invaluable community contribution at the same time.
Our volunteers provide invaluable assistance to the association by doing a variety of light warehouse duties which may include breaking down pallet deliveries, repacking orders for collection or dispatch, and preparing consignments for collection by Australia Post. Volunteers also provide reception duties, and other administrative duties or projects as required from time to time.
All this ensures that we can provide the best possible service to our members.
Qld Stoma Association provides a clean, safe, friendly and happy work environment and are always seeking friendly positive people to help us cope with our ever increasing workload.
Volunteers to take part in a regular work day which is usually between 8.30 am and 2.30 pm. Volunteering can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Once we negotiate your availability, we will include you on our roster and you become an important part of our team.
We recognise that things doesn’t always go to plan. If you are sick or have another commitment on your rostered day, please contact us at the earliest opportunity to let us know that you won’t be in so that we can make other arrangements to fill the gap.
We welcome volunteers from 18 years old to 85 years old.
